Influence of combined aging on the mechanical and physical properties of reclaimed asphalt pavement mixtures blended with rejuvenator agents

Abstract Recently, reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) with high RAP contents rejuvenator agents have been implemented in Japan. However, a unified view of the durability mixtures rejuvenators has not established. Therefore, this paper aims to assess blended different types through combined aging, compared that hot mixed (HMA) mixture. Mechanical and physical properties subjected combination moisture, heat, oxidation were investigated. Saturation aging tensile stiffness conditioning was used simulate aging. Four prepared by employing two oil-based contents. HMA also prepared. The test results demonstrated did exhibit reduction retained stiffness, whereas exhibited significant drop conditioning. In addition, longer residual service life than after Detailed analyses revealed differences fatigue behaviors rejuvenators. Finally, certain aspects deterioration mechanisms discussed.
